Hello

I am Guy Megides, Textile Artist, designer-maker, and illustrator. Partner at KipKop Art Studio at Tel Aviv - Groningen.

My art combines handcrafts with conceptual thinking using colors, textural surfaces, and repetitive shapes.

I find my hands as my best tool for self-expression. I work in many methods such as painting, screen-print, digital illustration, weaving, sewing, sculpting, knitting, and tufting.
I create with a playful attitude, searching for the hidden potential of materials and techniques. I think the creative process is as interesting as the final result.

In my work, I like to re-think materials, mostly when labeled as waste and combine them with traditional hand-crafts methods.
As a textile lover living in this high-consuming era, I find great value in developing high-quality products that are self-made as much as possible, exposing manufacturing processes, and encouraging environmental consciousness in my art.

Currently located in Tel Aviv, Israel
Graduated in 2019 from Shenkar College of Art & Design (Textile Design BA).
