upcycling textiles

This work is research for a material design that aims to rethink used textiles as new raw material. In this work, Guy Megides is experimenting with ways of sculpting the used textiles, resulting in different appearances. By gluing and pressing layers of fabrics together, a secondary raw material emerges. It is high-quality plywood-like material, with a soft surface and touch. Can be used as a decorative raw material for designers and makers. Experimenting with the composition of the textiles inside a brick, resulted in a variety of designs; colors, structures, and textures.
